Body measurement

The patient takes the photos on their phone, guided by the app. Out of them come an avatar and its measurements, which reach your dashboard and can be compared over time. What matters is not the precision of a single reading: it is the trend, taken the same way every two weeks.
And your patients' photos?
The image is processed with a mask that makes the face unrecognisable, and an avatar is built from it: that is what you see, examine and compare over time. Careness does not keep the original photograph.
There are no photographs of your patients in your dashboard: there is an avatar and a set of measurements. For you that is one responsibility less, for them it is the reason they agree. The measurements are for information and support, not for clinical or diagnostic use.

Practices, clinics and gyms
If there is more than one professional, or if a nutritionist and a personal trainer follow the same people, the setup is a dedicated one: a seat each, patients shared where it helps, a single contract. The price is built on the number of seats and patients.
Under your own brand, if you want. The platform and the app your clients install can carry your name, your logo and your colours instead of ours: that is what white label means. The people who come to your gym or your practice see your brand from start to finish; the technology, the updates and the support stay with us. Talk to us about it.
What it costs, and who pays it
Patients in the app have a cost. You can build it into your fee.
A monthly cost exists only for patients connected to the app beyond the three included. Here you can see the bill and what is left if you build it into the fee for your programme.
On a programme of 60 or 70 euros a month, a few euros of markup cover the monitoring and the patient barely notices them: in exchange they get the plan in the app and measurements from home.
The plan subscription is not in this sum: it pays for the tools you use anyway, including for patients you only keep in your records. This shows only the extra cost of connecting patients to the app beyond the three included, and the effect of the markup you set. We are not estimating your revenue. Amounts include VAT.
A patient is connected when their app is linked to your profile. Anyone you only keep on file does not count and does not cost.
Frequently asked questions
The things people ask us before starting
How many patients can I manage?
As many as you like, on every plan, Standard included. Records, history, notes and plans have no limit, and neither does exporting to PDF. The number of people you follow does not affect the subscription.
What counts as a connected patient, the kind that has a cost?
A patient who has installed the Careness app and linked it to your profile with the code you give them. From that moment their logs arrive in your dashboard: what they ate, what they trained, day by day. Three connected patients are included in every plan, after which it is €2.50 a month on Standard and €5 a month on Complete and Performance. The count is visible in the platform before you are billed.
Anyone you keep on file without the app is not a connected patient: they do not count towards the total and they cost nothing.
What is the difference between synced logs and body measurement?
Synced logs are what the person notes down in the app, meals and sessions, and you see them straight away on every plan for connected patients. Body measurement is a different thing: it adds the measurements of the body, circumferences and composition, worked out from photos the patient takes at home. It is included from the Complete plan upwards, on the same connected patients and at no extra cost.
Can I pass the cost of the app on to the patient?
Yes, and it is what most professionals do: the cost of the connected patient is built into the fee for the programme, like any other tool in the practice. The simulator above shows you the markup at which the bill balances. The financial relationship stays between you and your patient: Careness invoices you only.
Can I change module after activation?
Yes, once per billing cycle. The plans and data produced with the module you switch off stay readable, so you lose nothing of what you have already done.
Is any special device needed for the measurements?
No. The patient's smartphone and a clear wall are enough. The app guides the framing step by step and flags when a shot cannot be used, so the reading stays comparable over time.
What happens to patients' photos?
The photograph serves only to generate the avatar from which the measurements are calculated. It is processed with a mask that makes the face unrecognisable and Careness does not keep the original: what stays in the patient's record is the avatar and the measurements, on European servers, visible only to them and to you. They can be deleted at any time at the patient's request or directly by you.
I run a practice or a gym: can I have Careness under my own brand?
Yes. For organisations with several professionals we offer a dedicated setup and, if you want it, white label: platform and patient app with your name, your logo and your colours, so the people who come to you see your brand and not ours. Technology, updates and support stay with us. The price depends on seats and patients: write to us and we'll put a proposal together.
Who owns my patients' data?
You do. Careness processes that data on your behalf, as a processor under article 28 of the GDPR, following the agreement attached to the general terms. You can export it at any time in a structured format and take it with you if you decide to stop.
